Year 6

Term One has come to an end and we have been very busy learning about different concepts in all learning areas. In Numeracy, we have been learning about measurement, chance and data, fractions and probability. Problem-solving will be a focus area for next term as many students need support in this area. During the holidays, students are expected to complete their Mathletics tasks and their Numeracy holiday homework which will target their personal needs and help them practise concepts that they find challenging. In Science, we have been learning about the current production of energy and what other energy sources can be used that can be more sustainable and save our environment. Students researched some energy-related questions and were expected to display their work on a poster to be presented in class at a later time. In Quran, we set our goals for the school holidays and students promised to try their best to memorise the assigned surahs. It has been a great term full of hard work and engagement. I am already looking forward to Term Two with high expectations.

Kind regards,

Racha Makki
